A veteran animator who was active since the early days of [Toei Animation](https://anilist.co/studio/18/). The first person to be credited for in-betweens check. Participated in numerous of [Miyazaki](https://anilist.co/staff/96870/)'s and [Takahata](https://anilist.co/staff/100579/)'s works and was known for her depiction of everyday life animation and drawings of female characters. While working on Ghibli movies, she left the high-octane scenes to the younger generations and handled more mundane scenes herself. She helped [Yasuo Ootsuka](https://anilist.co/staff/136873/) as an animation director on [The Castle of Cagliostro](https://anilist.co/anime/1430/), handling the supervision of the cuts involving Clarisse. This was apparently because Ootsuka wasn't as confident in his drawings of pretty women. Retired after [Howl's Moving Castle](https://anilist.co/anime/431/) in 2004. Passed away on August 25, 2015.
