Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Anime Guider (animeguider.com), you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we terminate it and delete its data.
• You must provide an accurate date of birth — it controls age-appropriate content filtering and cannot be changed later. Accounts without a date of birth are treated as under-18 (content-restricted) until one is set.
• You are responsible for your account and anything posted from it. Keep your password to yourself.
• One account per person. Don't impersonate others.

3. Your content

You own the reviews, comments, lists, bios, and avatars you post. By posting, you grant Anime Guider a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display that content as part of operating the service. You can delete your content at any time, which ends the license for it.

Don't post content that:

• harasses, threatens, or degrades others;
• is sexually explicit or sexualizes minors (instant, permanent ban);
• infringes someone else's copyright or trademark;
• contains spam, scams, malware links, or self-promotion floods;
• links to pirated streams or downloads of anime.

Reviews and comments pass through automated moderation, and any user can report content. Content reported by multiple users is hidden automatically pending review. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, at our discretion.

4. Subscriptions & billing

• Paid plans (Plus, Pro, Premium) are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page before you pay.
• You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade any time from your subscription page. Cancelling keeps your benefits until the end of the paid period; you won't be charged again.
• Plan changes between paid tiers are prorated by Stripe. Otherwise payments are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal, delivered by email and/or a notice on the site. If you don't agree with a new price, cancel before it takes effect.

5. Anime data, links & affiliate disclosure

Anime Guider does not host, stream, or distribute any anime. Metadata, cover art, and banners come from public APIs (primarily AniList) and are used for identification and informational purposes; all anime titles and artwork belong to their respective rights holders. Where-to-watch links point to legal streaming services only.

Affiliate disclosure: some outbound streaming and shopping links are affiliate links — if you subscribe or buy through them, Anime Guider may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects which services we show.

6. Copyright complaints (DMCA)

If you believe content on Anime Guider infringes your copyright, use our DMCA request form or email contact@animeguider.com with: (1) the URL of the material, (2) identification of the copyrighted work, (3) your contact information, and (4) a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized. We respond to valid notices by removing the material and, for repeat infringers, terminating accounts.

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with the material's former URL, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was mistaken, your contact information, and consent to federal court jurisdiction. We may restore the material unless the complainant files a court action.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that show metadata, scores, schedules, or streaming availability are accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anime Guider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost data or lost profits), and its total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

If you post content that infringes someone else's rights or breaks the law, and that leads to a claim against Anime Guider, you agree to cover the costs and damages that result from your content.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9 survive termination.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you consent to their jurisdiction — except that either party may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court, and nothing here limits rights that the consumer-protection law of your place of residence grants you and that can't be waived by contract.

10. Changes & contact
