Crystal King is a Japanese rock and kayoukyoku band. They gained commercial success with their debut single "Daitokai" (大都会) which sold 1.5 million copies, and are remembered in Japan for their performance of the first theme songs of Fist of the North Star: "Ai wo Torimodose!!" and "Yuria... Eien ni". The band was formed by Musshu Yoshizaki in 1971, who was joined by a second vocalist, [Masayuki Tanaka](https://anilist.co/staff/400309/), in 1975. Other musicians to have played with the band include [Yamashita Michio](https://anilist.co/staff/399456/) on guitar and [Nomoto Hidetoshi](https://anilist.co/staff/400311/) on bass. They made their major label debut in 1980. Originally consisting of vocalists Monsieur Yoshisaki (ムッシュ吉崎) and Masayuki Tanaka, guitarist Michio Yamashita (山下三智夫), pianist Kimiharu Namakura (中村公晴), keyboardist [Hiromi Imakyuurei](https://anilist.co/staff/400310/) (今給黎博美), drummer Ken Kanefuku (金福健), and bassist Hidetoshi Nomoto (野元 英俊), the band broke up in 1995 and beginning in 2004, Yoshisaki began performing as Crystal King as a solo project.
