永島慎二
Shinji Nagashima was a Japanese mangaka. While he was in junior high school, Nagashima got inspired to become a manga artist. He dropped out of school during junior high and worked as a paperboy and a tofu salesman. He made his debut as a mangaka in 1952, with his work "Sansho no Piri-chan." His pseudonym came about due to a publisher's error but he continued using the pseudonym after that. He also worked as an assistant to [Osamu Tezuka](https://anilist.co/staff/96938/Osamu-Tezuka).
