Childish, disturbing, and not a normal human's idea of romance!
Very light spoilers ahead, almost spoiler-free.
I tend to be very wary when it comes to the Shoujo genre due to the amount of clichés I'll be facing ahead of me. But it's alright, I do not mind a cliché as long as it's well executed.
This one was disastrous.

Going into this show I definitely would not have expected my attention and interest to turn to an analytical side regarding psychology and behavior. And while that might not be the most evident point of view from which you can judge a show (mostly because I doubt that the aspects I'm going to mentio…

An explosion. I watch it over and over, never feeling bored or unhappy; it's truly a masterpiece. The opening is lit AF, and I love both the opening and the episodes themselves. It's a joy to rewatch every time, and I believe everyone should experience it. The character design is fantastic, and the…

I started watching Maid Sama expecting something along the lines of a girl from a blue-collar family getting a job as a maid for some wealthy guy and falling head over heels in love with him. What I got was anything but that.

Let me say something I wish I was told before starting this title. This is not a romance, it's a gag anime first. And it does it well, I can't deny that. It's funny and endearing, and does an excellent job of playing on fetishes, specifically cosplay and maids. But the summary makes it out as mainly…

**Why Maid-sama! is a Flawless 100/100**
Maid-sama! is not just a shojo anime — it's the shojo anime. From the very first episode, it grabs you by the collar and refuses to let go, delivering one of the most satisfying romantic comedies ever put to screen. Every el…

I wanted to like Maid-sama, and indeed I did for something like seventy-five percent of the series. Misa and Usui play off each other well, the supporting characters are funny, and even the art, though not aged particularly well in my opinion, has a certain charm with its hand painted backgrounds an…
