The story centers around the special abilities that occur among a small percentage of boys and girls in puberty. Yuu Otosaka uses his power without others knowing, and lives a fairly normal, average school life. Before him suddenly appears a girl, Nao Tomori. Due to his meeting with her, the fate of special power-users will be exposed.

Of the ten shows spread throughout thirteen episodes, I enjoyed one and a half of them. Thank you, Jun Maeda.

Don't believe the haters; this melodramatic roller coaster is a wild ride well worth taking.
There is no other writer working in the anime industry quite like Jun Maeda. His work soars on unapologetic sincerity and sappiness, without any pretensions of being anything but. His stories crackle with a deep, abiding belief in the intrinsic value of life itself. He has no shame about reaching stâŠ
Having watched only _The Day I Became a God_, which inspired me to watch other works of _Jun Maeda_, I got into _Charlotte_. And it has been a great experience altogether. So, I decided to write this review of the same.

So, I just finished Charlotte. I talked to my friend who hated it (read: thought it had lots of potential and didnât like that it ended up being rushed). He had some fair points, even if I didnât fully understand it. He thought episode 13 was too rushed and couldâve been done into two episodes. I beâŠ
I don't care what anyone else says; I freaking LOVE Charlotte.
Have you ever wished you had special powers - any kind of special power at all? Well, do you really think these special powers can be something to appreciate? That power is probably just a disease that you'll be cured from eventually, most presumably at the end of your adolescence. With that out ofâŠ
If only the narrative had been better planned, these conflicting feelings would've been replaced by stellar emotions.

I watched the **first half** of the first episode back in december of 2023. Thatâsâ why itâs right after death note in my sheet. Then I picked it up again after I watched Frieren. Enough of that, the main point here is: I AM SO GLAD THAT I PICKED IT UP AGAIN.

Charlotte suffer from poorly written characters and a lazy story that is saved by using Key-produced anime elements.
Key is an anime production company Iâve followed for years and is somewhat meaningful to me. Though most of the anime they produce arenât necessarily âfantasticâ, I watched a lot of them when I was younger so I have a lot of nostalgic attachment to them.
