Takeo Gouda is a giant guy with a giant heart. Too bad the girls don't want him! (They always go for his good-looking best friend, Sunakawa.) Used to being on the sidelines, Takeo simply stands tall and accepts his fate. But one day when he saves a girl named Yamato from a harasser on the train, his (love!) life suddenly takes an incredible turn! Takeo can hardly believe it when he crosses paths with Yamato again, and he finds himself falling in love with her… But with handsome Sunakawa around, does Takeo even stand a chance?

A Story of Love, Friendship, and Family as Pure as Takeo's Giant Heart
Five or so years ago, I was a freshman in college and had a lot of friends across differing grade levels and departments. This was back during a time when I expressed little to no interest in anime, let alone watching the thousands of different shows out there. Though, if it meant getting to spend m…
This is the type of romance series I love; ones with little to no tedious back-and-forth drama, plenty of fluffy moments that make me go 'aww,' endearing characters, and a comfy, wholesome plot, "My Love Story!!" had everything I carved for in a good romance, being down-to-earth and cutesy.
It begi…

##__Introduction:__
Ore Monogatari!! is one of those shows where if you haven't watched it your standard for anime isn't where it should be. This show does a handful of things to the point of near perfection you'll want to rewatch it the moment y…
A Romantic Comedy that's actually wholesome and romantic?
Takeo Goda was never meant to be a main character, not even in his own life story. Don’t get me wrong, he was well loved and popular, and an all around good person, but he was also freakishly huge and monstrously buff for his age. At only sixteen years old, Takeo stood easily higher than eight fee…
Out there, somewhere, there is a guy who is just right for you. For some girls, that guy won't be the most attractive; in fact, some people may compare the guy you love with a gorilla. Even then, you still love that gorilla, and that is never going to change. With that being said, I've been interest…
Rom-Com fans, you'll love this. Everyone else, you'll be surprised you do, too.
I absolutely adore this anime. Time and time again since my sophomore year of high school, I have re-watched not only my favorite episodes but also have sat down a few times to re-watch the whole season. I love how every episode never strays too far away from its tones, plot, or rhetoric. It’s very…
My Love Story!! (oder Ore Monogatari!!) ist wie ein Becher Vanillepudding mit Herzchenstreuseln – nahrhaft? Vielleicht nicht. Aber irgendwie schwer zu hassen.…
