This anime has no plot. Literally. You would think that an anime whose premise is a girl surrounded by six vampires would be interesting and mysterious, well, no. There are literally not many spoilers to tell as there is not much to tell! If you are going to watch this, keep in mind that you will on…
Read full review on AniList →Diabolik Lovers follows a young girl named Yui who moves into a gloomy castle while her priestly father goes overseas for work. Upon arriving, she is immediately assaulted by one of the adolescent male occupants of the castle. Shortly afterwards another five guys or so arrive, all of them brothers,…
Read full review on AniList →~~~Honestly, I tried _really hard to get into this show; it's popular, and everyone seems to fawn over the male characters, bit I couldn't. To sum it up, the show is ****. There aren't many anime's that I drop, but I had to drop this one. Not only did it have a ****** plot (not that there was mu…
Read full review on AniList →I wanted to watch this anime with my friends as a joke, since I have seen many negative things about it. Well let me tell you this is one of the worst things I have ever needed to bear with. The sadistic people around that poor girl, filled with utter despair was simply unbearable. This anime glorif…
Read full review on AniList →Diabolik Lovers is the embodiment of what people call rape culture. Simply don't watch it. This anime has nothing good to offer. Some people may call it a guilty pleasure, but there is nothing likeable in this at all aside from the decent (and pretty standart) animation. Gosh, I don't even know how…
Read full review on AniList →# Diabolik Lovers Review I can't believe I sat through this show in one sitting. Warning: A ton of spoilers ahead if you're wanting to watch this mess _Overview Diabolik Lovers kicks off with this cute little girl named Yui arriving at this big *** mansion at the request of her father.…
Read full review on AniList →I had wanted to do this review for a long time but I have never been able to find the time and why it is not worth taking the time to review this anime but now I can. Before we start talking about the actual review let's talk about the plot: Komori Yui is an optimistic young lady that has a strong c…
Read full review on AniList →When seventeen year old Yui Komori’s father has to go overseas for work, her church convinces her to temporarily move into a large house shared by six teenage boys… Because that’s totally something a church would do… And transfer into the night school that they all attend. What they don’t tell her i…
Read full review on AniList →After (and during) watching Diabolik Lovers I was left with many questions and a decent amount of disgust. 1. What the **** did I just watch? 1. Is there a plot of any kind? 1. Is the show trying to romanticize abuse or is it just incredibly ignorant? 1. What's the target audience for this? Teenage…
Read full review on AniList →The artstyle is actually unique, but the writers really need to rethink the plot through. It felt like I was reading a Wattpad made by a young girl who made herself as the main character and centralized herself. Yui is a literal doormat; she can the VERY LEAST try but nah... It's as if she had to w…
Read full review on AniList →I love diabolik lovers , but not the story. I’ll honestly tell you the plot / story isn’t much other than molesting Yui.. haha :,D besides, Is quite sadistic and sick. T- T Respectively, Yui is too stupid. Almost nothing his own free will, does not object, leave himself like a rag. :/ It was a n…
Read full review on AniList →I'll get this out of the way first: the appeal of Diabolik Lovers - both as otome (reverse harem) games and as an anime - is being forced into a relationship with unstable, cruel, and violent boys. This isn't an accident. The show isn't unaware of the power dynamics and metaphorical rape (through no…
Read full review on AniList →What I liked was the aesthetic and the fact that theyre vampires. Could it get any better? The voice acting is good imo, the OST is good. The crimson roses crumbling in the opening, those shadowy mansion corners with chandelier glow catching fang glints—peak dark romance visuals that had me hooked.…
