ONE PIECE FILM: RED
An almighty voice. With fiery red locks. The story takes place on an island where Uta, the world’s favorite diva, performs for the first time in public. Uta’s singing voice, which she sings with while concealing her true identity, has been described as “otherworldly,” and while the venue is filled with the Straw Hats led by Luffy, pirates, navy, and fans from all over the world who have come to enjoy her voice, Uta’s voice is heard in a new light. The curtain rises on the story with the shocking revelation that she is “Shanks’ daughter!“ (Source: ONE PIECE FILM RED Website)

Film Red is the second most idiosyncratic One Piece movie, thanks to its overt reliance on musical performances and the spotlight focused on Uta, a new female character. It also has the benefit of bringing out Shanks, who is one of the most important yet mysterious characters in the original work, a…

Thus, I won't be able to give you any comparison with any other one. In case you are wondering how I managed to watch it already, it…
Read full review on AniList →~~~ This is my first review on AniList, so this will be pretty rough. I was originally going to save my first review for something I can study across multiple viewings. Instead, I wrote my review on a movie I watched while vacationing in Vegas. All criticism is welcome because, good lord, I'll need…
Read full review on AniList →I'll keep this review brief and straightforward. ____Story____ The One Piece narrative The problem with Film Red is that it's okay but not amazing, and I'll explain why that's a problem because we, the fans, had extremely high hopes for it. Film Red isn't horrible by any means; in fact, I think its…
Read full review on AniList →I had mixed feeling about the release of film red because we haven’t seen shanks in the anime since marine ford and we couldn’t see Haki in the post time skip let alone have a grasp on the abilities Haki offers so I was really looking out for new Haki we haven’t seen yet. In the case of Uta she sort…
Read full review on AniList →Okay so, listen. For all those who are bored to read a long review, just know this: "I found a lot of flaws in this movie and I don't recommend it. In fact, as a fan of the franchise for almost 7 years I even found it insulting." For all the other fellow One Piece fans, keep reading --> I have never…
Read full review on AniList →#__~~~SPOILER-FILLED REVIEW~~~__ <hr> Uta is inseparable when talking about Film Red. This is one of those cases, I believe, where viewer reception to a story is contingent upon their attachment to a character. A One Piece musical starred by a young diva of relevant relations with Luffy and Shanks…
Read full review on AniList →There are big spoilers here for both the film and One Piece. --- ~~~Intro (tl;dr)~~~ --- *Film Red*, the recent recordbreaking One Piece movie: is it the legendary film that deserves the level of renown it gets? And the answer is.. no. I know what One Piece movies are capable of as I just wrote a…
